Our mission is to produce high quality books that have a broad appeal to families from different cultures and backgrounds who share a commitment to attachment parenting or simply believe in the importance of family closeness to the full and healthy development of children.

Our goal is to create books and products that parents love, children enjoy, teachers appreciate, and parenting professionals value in their work.

It is human nature to share those things that you care about. At Platypus Media, we work with two priorities in mind:

• We care about children and families. At Platypus Media, we want to help children feel nurtured and parents feel strengthened. We believe that the finest ways to begin nurturing children are to feed them at the breast and to sleep next to them. We want to provide tools to help families appreciate the magic that comes from breastfeeding and the family bed. Platypus Media books and other products will also demonstrate and support other ways of nurturing growing children.
• We care about books. At Platypus Media, we love reading them. We love making them. We love sharing them. And we love helping to instill a love of books in others, especially children.

Platypus Media is committed to the promotion and protection of breastfeeding. We donate six percent of our profits to breastfeeding organizations.
